Position Description:

As a global sports and media business, the NBA is so much more. 

This position will be responsible for providing insight on the usage and performance of the NBA’s digital products and helping to inform product roadmap decisions. The candidate will generate data-driven reports that he/she will share with product owners and senior management to help determine the successfulness of past initiatives and inform future endeavors.

The candidate should be an inventive individual with strong analytic skills who can perform in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of the NBA and the digital media landscape is also very meaningful.


Major Responsibilities: 
• Interest in analyzing large datasets and the ability to generate insights based on patterns and trends in the data
• Ownership of data-driven research projects on a variety of digital products and social media platforms
• Verify consistent collection of data and creation of reports from a variety of digital and social sources
• Assist with the production of actionable insights to support digital product and content decisions
• Communication of new insights and next steps to senior management
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis
• Collaborate with product team to during build cycle


Required Experience & Knowledge: 
• Familiarity with the digital analytics space and how to evaluate the performance of websites and apps
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word, PowerPoint and the ability to formulate data and generate reports
• Exposure to digital analytic and visualization tools (e.g. Adobe, Tableau, etc.)
• Excellent personal, verbal and written interpersonal skills and the ability to work well across departments, with clients and with business partners
• Familiarity with mobile apps, connected devices and social media platforms
• Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills
• Real passion for digital products and awareness of industry trends
• Interest in the sports media landscape
• Knowledge of basketball and the NBA preferred
