Position Summary

The Project Employee would be primarily responsible for assisting the Director of Footage Licensing with the day-to-day management and coordination of all aspects of 3rd party footage licensing agreements, along with assisting with project workflow associated with 3rd party programming agreements.

 

This is a temporary position with an expected duration not to exceed (10) months.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Provide primary support for Footage Licensing Lead with ongoing footage license requests (e.g., viewing/logging rough cut links, providing footage counts, assist with license agreements, shoot agreements and negotiation of financial terms).

  • Assist in responding to large volume of global email requests both internally and externally in a timely manner to ensure meeting of deadlines provided.

  • Prepare and present 3rd party projects to the internal review team inclusive of Content, Marketing and Player Marketing.

  • Serve as primary backup to Footage Licensing Lead during out-of-office periods.

  • Assistance on urgent team requests pertaining to 3rd party shoot requests.

  • Provide Global Marketing Partnerships department with footage licensing agreements for Marketing Partners.

  • Work with Content Operations on the creation of internal links for all 3rd party project submissions.

  • Participate in organizing review process across internal departments for 3rd party pitch materials (treatments, scripts, rough cuts, trailers, etc.).

  • Work closely with NBA Finance on aging reports and following up with 3rd party clients on outstanding payments.

  • Engage with other league departments as needed to facilitate various aspects of 3rd party project reviews and execution (e.g., Content, Marketing, Basketball Operations, Marketing Partnerships & Media Planning, Finance).

Required Skills/Knowledge

  • Understanding and familiarity with media distribution and licensing agreements.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and engage multiple stakeholders in a challenging fast paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and multitask effectively, and to organize and prioritize projects as directed.

  • Ability to distill large volume of information into clear, concise recaps.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization that requires coordination and collaboration across multiple departments and sub-departments.

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office and Google Docs Editors, especially for creating and maintaining spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets).

Experience Needed

  • 2-4 years with a background in media, sports, entertainment, or partnership management.

Educational Background Required

  • BA required; MBA preferred.

 

 

 

 

Salary Range: $2,307.69 Bi- weekly
