Job Summary
The Media Operations & Technology (MO&T) department is looking for an Events Coordinator to support the broadcast operations and productions teams for all event related activities for internal staff, crew and vendors at events such as Finals, Summer League, USA Basketball, Global Games, and All-Star across the NBA and affiliate leagues (WNBA, G-League, Basketball Africa League). This role will also assist in supporting daily/nightly broadcast operations initiatives.
Major Responsibilities
• Work with the broadcast operations team to gather, coordinate and distribute nightly operations information, as well as the schedule of events for NBA and affiliate leagues
• Manage Team & RSN usage of NBA's transmission network (HSAN), for game production and signal testing.
• Supervise crews for NBAE enhanced game productions.
• Create and provide technical advisories to the control room crews for NBAE enhanced game productions.
• Interact with/support TOC by answering operational questions and escalate when necessary.
• Manage automation systems.
• Ability to work all shifts associated with 24x7x365 production environments
• Coordinate staffing assignments with our partner services team
• Manage travel schedules/plans for staff and vendors across all venues
• Gather, enter and manage staff and vendor credential information through our credentials system
• Gather, enter and manage staff and vendor hotel accommodations through our events management system
• Book travel for staff and vendors, managing itineraries against event travel schedules
• Coordinate vendor onboarding activities and facilitate the contracting process
• Reconcile and process invoices from vendors
• General administrative duties
Required Education/Professional Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Communications or significant relevant field experience will be considered
• Experience with HD broadcasts and knowledge of HD systems.
