Position Summary: 

This position is responsible for creating, publishing and programming content within the NBA’s digital Fantasy & Gaming channels, as well as @NBAFantasy and @NBABet social channels. You have your finger on the pulse of the NBA with a focus on the Fantasy & Gaming angle, and get the opportunity to bring the very best of the game to fans around the globe right in the palm of their hand. 

 

Major Responsibilities: 

  • Curating, programming and publishing video, photo, statistical, and editorial content for all NBA fantasy social and digital platforms 
  • Understanding and using all promotional levers (push notifications, email, locations) to develop a cohesive plan of awareness 
  • Being an expert on all fantasy & gaming offerings from official NBA channels 
  • Working with third-party content providers to edit, publish and program content for fantasy and gaming channels 
  • Providing oversight of third-party produced content for @NBABet and NBA.com/NBABet channels 
  • Researching and introducing new content ideas for NBA Fantasy social and digital platforms 
  • Actively participating in content planning for the NBA Fantasy's social and digital platforms 
  • Understanding and ability to read metrics around content engagement to determine the overall impact of content & programming across digital & social platforms 

 

Required Skills/Knowledge: 

  • Deeply knowledgeable about NBA Fantasy and the players, coaches, and teams 
  • Strong understanding of the gaming space with a specific focus on compelling content that can be created for digital and social channels 
  • Must have previous experience publishing within a Content Management System with WordPress being preferred 
  • Must have experience publishing on behalf of a brand on a social media platform 
  • Strong communication skills are critical - especially for a remote position. You must be able to communicate with the rest of the team, other members of the department, and third-party partners on a nightly basis 
  • Knowledge of basketball analytics and the rules of the game is key 
  • Willingness to work on projects when asked and provide creative content solutions when called upon 
  • Understanding of digital and social media trends - know how people are consuming content and how that could apply to an NBA platform 
  • You understand social analytics & trends to know the best types of content to use on respective platforms 
  • You have experience working on deadline 

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications or related field preferred 

 

 

 

Salary Range: $2,307.69/biweekly
