Position Summary:
This position requires a person who has a well-rounded knowledge of production, broadcast equipment, and workflows to support nightly broadcast operations at NBAEntertainment. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, skilled communicator, who can engage in many projects at any given time. This person will ensure NBAEproductions operate efficiently by identifying solutions to issues and escalating when necessary. Work involves the development of in-house production policies and procedures, supervision of technical and nontechnical personnel, evaluating and escalating production issues, and planning for future changes. This person must be able to make reasonable and cognitive decisions as the work is performed with considerable independence. S/he must also have a basic understanding of signal flow and proper escalation protocols.

This individual will also be the main point of contact for RSN and team needs regarding live video transmission over HSAN.
 

Major Responsibilities:

• Gather, coordinate and distribute nightly operations information.
• Manage Team & RSN usage of NBA's transmission network (HSAN), for game production and signal testing.
• Supervise crews for NBAE enhanced game productions.
• Create and provide technical advisories to the control room crews for NBAEenhanced game productions.
• Interact with/support TOC by answering operational questions and escalate when necessary.
• Manage automation systems.
• Ability to work all shifts associated with 24x7x365 production environments

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• 2 - 6 years of broadcast production or operations experience.
• Knowledge of broadcast operations, including broadcast production, and technical operations.
• Thorough knowledge of broadcast television standards, workflow, and technologies
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and creatively.
• Experience with HD broadcasts and knowledge of HD systems.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications abilities.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications or significant relevant field experience will be considered

Salary Range: $35.00 Hourly
