Position Summary:
The primary role of this position is to support media management requirements for team local productions. This includes scheduling, tracking, media management, transcoding, and distribution of content. They will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day media requirements, including distribution of content (features, highlights, promos, etc.) to the local production team and acquisition/archiving of any content that is captured or created in the trucks, including digital melts, interviews, features, etc. This person will also be involved in design, development, and maintenance of workflows for content management and delivery.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop new and efficient operational workflows to support local productions
  • Oversee staff supporting media acquisition, transcoding and distribution for all raw and finished content coming in and being distributed out of the facility specifically for local production.
  • Facilitating the delivery of game broadcasts for cue sheet creation and music usage reporting.
  • Work closely with Broadcast Operations and Media Technology teams to develop new standard operating procedures and documentation for all workflows involving content acquisition, quality control, and archiving of content intended for local production.
  • Leverage league content taxonomies to organize this content appropriately in our Asset Library.

 

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Mac OSX support, SAN appliance and file system support, Adobe Creative Cloud Applications Support
  • Digital Video Encoding and Transcoding 
  • Specific experience using Telestream Vantage and other encoding and transcoding experience a plus
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task.

 

Experience Needed:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in media management, content production, or other related fields.
  • 3-5 years managerial experience
  • 3-5 years related experience supporting Mac OSX, SAN Appliances and File Systems, Adobe Creative Cloud Applications Support
  • Experience working with transcoding software

 

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred - (Media Production, Communications, Film, Digital Media, or related field from accredited college or university a plus)

 

Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000
