Essential Functions and Job/Position Summary:

The NBA is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Broadcast Production Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical planning, setup, operation, and maintenance of broadcast production equipment and systems. The Broadcast Production Engineer will ensure high-quality audio and visual production standards, assisting in delivering exceptional content for our audiences. 


Major Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain broadcasting equipment & systems, including cameras, microphones, switchers, audio mixers, and playback systems during live and recorded productions
  • Build and maintain working relationships with vendors for product support (rentals, upgrades, new product development, etc.).
  • Maintain Video and Audio quality to uphold broadcast standards.
  • Assist with supervision, facility design, construction, and installations as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and system upgrades to optimize broadcast performance.
  • Develop integration between scheduling, traffic, and automation systems.
  • Collaborate with the production team to design and implement technical solutions for various broadcasting projects
  • Assist in the design and installation of new production systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Work with Broadcast Operations & Production to understand technical requirements and contribute to production planning
  • Occasionally provide technical support during remote productions and live events

 

Required Education/Professional Experience:

  • 6 - 10 years of technical engineering experience.
  • College degree in Communications/Engineering or related field required.
  • Significant field experience will be considered in place of a college degree.

 

Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes:

  • Expertise working with routing platforms for video, media workflow and video production.
  • Strong understanding of video, audio, and data signal flows, transmission standards, compression standards, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Proficiency in operating broadcast equipment, including video/audio mixers, cameras, and editing software.
  • Document technical specifications, workflows, maintenance procedures, and training material for equipment and systems.
  • Strong understanding of Device Control Protocols, API, SNMP, and automating workflows
  • Willingness to travel and accept shift and weekend assignments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.


 

 

Salary Range: [[$150,000 - $170,000]]
