Position Summary:
Content Partnerships manages relationships with the NBA's domestic content partners and platforms. The group oversees the distribution of NBA, WNBA, NBA G League, NBA 2K League and USA Basketball games and other basketball-related content nationwide. Candidate will play a key role in various projects, initiatives, and multi-disciplinary coordination across internal business lines. Responsibilities will include preparing presentation materials for Senior Management, supporting deal strategy, evaluation of current and proposed partnerships, market intelligence and a broad range of other strategic and financial analysis.
Major Responsibilities:
- Develop presentations and other supporting materials/analyses for Senior Management
- Work with Senior Management to prepare for strategic meetings with partners and other stakeholders
- Perform research and maintain market intelligence across diverse categories (e.g., other sports and entertainment media deals, industry trends and competitive landscape, etc.)
- Manage and be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams on strategic projects and new business opportunities
- Provide financial and quantitative analytical support across Content Partnerships
- Provide both ongoing and ad hoc data analyses with the goal of informing business decisions
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to a broad range of internal and external constituents
Required Education/Professional Experience:
- BA/BS degree preferred or relevant equivalent experience
- Experience working and multi-tasking in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or media corporate finance from top-tier company/firm(s)
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Passion for and knowledge of media landscape, content licensing models and sports content offerings!
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong quantitative, financial, research, modeling, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter who can work independently within set objectives!
- Teamwork skills and flexibility
- The right candidate will be able to explain, and where needed, defend her/his analysis both orally and in writing
- Strong facility and familiarity with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000
