Position Summary
As a member of our collaborative, driven, adaptable, and fast-paced Recruitment team, you will have the responsibility of being an ambassador for our brand, and an advocate for talent. We are looking for a team-oriented, dynamic, hardworking, and creative Senior Recruiter who will take these responsibilities to heart. You are capable of leading full cycle recruitment across all functional areas and levels, including technical and data science. You are self-sufficient with a track record of delivering value for Hiring Managers and Candidates in a fast-paced environment. You proactively seek ways to make the process as seamless as possible for your client groups, and regularly communicate updates to collaborators. You’re willing to extend yourself to support your colleagues, and ready to present and test new ideas. You learn from the wins as much as the losses, and no matter what, you show up to play tomorrow. You are focused on running a streamlined, inclusive and rigorous recruitment process, because we believe the best possible hires are derived from a diverse representation of talent. This role will directly impact the changing landscape of the NBA, and while you will find yourself challenged, it will all be worthwhile because what we’re building at the NBA is special.
You will be expected to work from our New York office (645 5th Ave.) 4 days/week with the option to work remotely 1 day/week.
Major Responsibilities
• Own full lifecycle recruitment across technical, non-technical, and executive level roles, as well as provide recruitment support to our international offices and NBA teams as needed
• Cultivate strong working relationships with hiring managers and business leaders to develop targeted yet scalable recruitment strategies that attract and engage high potential talent
• Leverage both internal recruitment data and external market intelligence to inform and influence hiring decisions
• Ensure an efficient, rigorous, inclusive, and compliant recruitment process while prioritizing candidate experience
• Collaborate with Talent Sourcers to build robust talent pipelines, and deploy job marketing campaigns
• Create and maintain strong cross functional relationships with various teams across the organization, including Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations, HR Consulting and Legal
• Bring a breadth of experience and expertise from a career as a Corporate Recruiter to contribute process improvements, and new and innovative ideas, to the NBA’s high functioning Talent team
Required Education/Professional Experience
• 8+ years of full lifecycle corporate recruitment experience for a global brand; including a breadth of experience recruiting in data science, Artificial Intelligence, events, operations, digital products, and commercial partnerships
• Experience in executive search and/or recruiting for senior level positions
• Experience working in Sports, Media or Technology preferred.
• Experience working in global markets a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or additional two years of relevant professional experience preferred
Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes
• Highly effective communication skills, along with a demonstrated ability to confidently and thoughtfully manage client relationships
• Highly proficient using applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and various other creative search tools and tactics to find talent
• Deep understanding of recruiting and interview methodologies, as well as the expertise to educate and train business partners on effective interview models
• Ability to interface with and influence senior executives
• Experience using internal and external data sources to develop recruitment strategies, make informed business decisions, and provide strategic updates to business leaders
Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000
