Project Employee, Live Events Manager - WNBA (on-site)

Position Summary:
This role will support the design, build and execution of immersive live events that acquire new fans, generate content, maximize event revenue and amplify the WNBA brand. Reporting to the WNBA Events Lead, this role will work day to day with NBA Enterprise Events, Live Programming and Entertainment and WNBA Creative Director. The Production Manager is tasked with the overall management of the production including, but not limited to, budget, logistics, vendor hiring and equipment rental. Major Responsibility:
- Work with Live Production and Events for on-court production set up, run throughs and general run of show planning
- Manage contracts and RFPs for production staffing and vendor needs
- Concisely communicate event logistics across internal and external stakeholders
- Support in the budget management of each event, including coordination of projection updates and reconciliation, invoicing and record keeping for each event
- Manage production vendors and event agencies on-site at events
- Oversee operational documentation such as event master production schedules and communicate any and all pre-production timelines
- Sourcing and scheduling Production Assistants and on-site event staff as needed
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- 3+ years experience in event operations; live event experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well across departments, with clients and with business partners
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work across multiple projects at the same time
- Knowledge of basketball references, nuances and terminology
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to interact professionally with individuals inside and outside the company
- Ability to work under tight timeframes and deliver high quality work
- Ability and flexibility to work some nights and weekends
- Interest in WNBA, basketball and sports
- Willingness to travel for site visits, planning meetings and on-site execution
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
Salary Range:
- $3,076.92, bi-weekly
