Position Summary
This position is part of a growing Growth Marketing team with the mission to discover, inspire, and engage fans worldwide. The Product Marketing Leader, DTC, will lead product marketing efforts globally for the NBA’s newest apps and features, including NBA Next Generation products, loyalty tiers, fantasy, and more. Successful candidates will be able to conduct research, build positioning, influence roadmaps, bring products and features to market, and successfully drive usage of those products and features. Success in this role requires working and influencing cross-functionally to drive meaningful business change. You will sit at the intersection of product and marketing to help ensure we build the right features for fans globally.


Major Responsibilities


•    Own the development of marketing strategies and positioning for products and features that are new to the market.
•    Define and drive comprehensive go-to-market plans for current and next-generation DTC products.
•    Build messaging that will resonate with fans globally and excite them to engage with products and product features.
•    Help build the vision of Product Marketing at the NBA, including establishing key metrics and measuring the impact of efforts.
•    Define and scale standard processes for subscription and loyalty-based businesses to drive user engagement and retention.
•    Proactively identify opportunities for funnel optimization throughout the existing app and web experiences.
•    Influence across the NBA organization, product, data, marketing, strategy, and ops to drive subscriber growth, engagement, and retention by focusing on the highest-impact global marketing launches.

 

Required Education/Professional Experience
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred


Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes


•    7-10+ years of Product Marketing experience with high-growth B2C companies.
•    Experience working on subscription-based products and loyalty programs.
•    Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver high-quality written and verbal content and present persuasively.
•    Track record of developing and launching successful new product offerings to a diverse audience by building the right positioning and launch plan.
•    Tactical experience and understanding of all core marketing channels, including emails, social, in-app, paid, etc.
•    Data driven analytical problem solver, able to drive metrics and benchmarks.
•    Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced setting without ready-made processes.
•    Deep desire to understand the customer through both qualitative and quantitative means.
•    Tight-knit collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a matrixed organization to influence and get results with key business partners are required.

 

Salary Range: $250,000-$350,000
