Position Summary:


This new position will join a team whose impact spans multiple departments, working on all matters related to health and wellness at the NBA, with a focus on player health. This individual will be responsible for providing strategic and data-driven insights to health and wellness initiatives - including interacting with NBA team health and performance personnel and helping build policies related to medical practices across the NBA, WNBA, NBA G League, NBA 2K League, and Basketball Africa League.The Player Health Strategy Analyst will be immediately responsible for supporting the implementation of strategic, team and fan-focused public health-related initiatives that support the business efforts of NBA teams, as they return to arenas for the upcoming 2020-21 season. This will include, but will not be limited to, developing programs to guide team in-market activity, providing updates to key health-related committees, evaluating potential partnerships, and providing insights into the performance of player health programs. This work will involve coordination and close partnership across multiple NBA departments including Global Strategy and Operations, Basketball Operations, Basketball Strategy and Analytics, and Finance.


Major Responsibility:


  • Plan, coordinate, and systematize activities of designated projects to ensure that objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame
  • Provide strategic guidance to the player health team on initiatives related to player health programs
  • Analyze new products, technologies, and medical approaches to health and wellness issues
  • Support high-quality communications and presentations to senior leadership across the League and its teams
  • Conduct qualitative analysis regarding player health and its respective programs - including but not limited to issues related to information management for the purpose of reporting, analysis, prevention and management of NBA player injuries
  • Interact with team health, performance, and operational staff on health and wellness related programs
  • Support project teams on all aspects of execution

  • Technical Skills - Strong proficiency in drafting documents; Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) 2+ years of work at a consulting, research, or other financial services firm, ideally with focus on health-related industries



  • Bachelor's degree required with strong record of academic success
