Position Summary:

This position will be tasked with leading strategic initiatives across the new Global Partnerships & Media department. This new team is charged with evaluating new strategic revenue opportunities, evaluating multi-dimensional partnership opportunities, and evaluating unique partnership structures. This individual will lead cross-functional working teams with leaders from multiple business units to create new commercial opportunities and ventures. The optimal candidate would excel in challenging conventional thinking and developing business strategies for new initiatives and categories.

 

Major Responsibility:

  • Manage cross-functional project teams to evaluate new commercial opportunities, launch new ventures and implement unique deal structures
  • Serve as point guard for the various business units on both cross-departmental revenue opportunities and broader companywide initiatives
  • Play an integral role in deal teams for multi-dimensional partnerships in an effort maximize partnership value and help align constituents to a common goals 
  • Conduct research on emerging areas within media, technology, sports, finance, sponsorship, licensing and live events and formulate strategies to explore opportunities
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to a broad range of senior internal and external constituents
  • Juggle different concurrent projects and opportunities in various aspects of the business
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Oversee modeling and analysis to assess and advance new strategic opportunities

 

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Detailed knowledge of the sports media landscape, including emerging business models Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Expert project and client management skills
  • Strong analytical orientation and ability to oversee analyses to evaluate opportunities
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and experience creating unique commercial models and approaches
  • Advanced aptitude with all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • 8+ years of experience in sports media or related industries covering multiple functional areas such as content distribution, digital media, ad sales, sponsorship, licensing and gaming
  • Experience in forming commercial partnerships in content and/or IP licensing Familiarity with unique deal structures, such as equity investments and joint ventures, preferred

 

Education:

Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or relevant experience
