Position Summary:

This position will support the Apparel and Sporting Goods partnership team within the Global Partnerships & Media department at the NBA. The role will have oversite of our on-court licensing partnerships in the apparel and sporting goods categories for the NBA, WNBA, NBA and G-League. The day-to-day responsibilities will require excellent business writing and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects at once, and comfort with analyzing sales data.

Major Responsibility:

  • Manage our sporting goods partnerships, including the delivery of contractual obligations, financial management, the execution of partnership marketing benefits, and allocation of leaguewide merchandise credits
  • Support the authentic and on-court retail apparel business from product development to go-to-market management and retail marketing execution.
  • Serve at the liaison between authentic licensing and fan apparel and the on-court and brand partnership group
  • Oversees the affiliate league (WNBA and G-League) licensing business, including contract execution, renewals, strategy, product development, and partner relationship management

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • 2-4 years of experience in the licensing or sports merchandise business
  • Understanding of sports retail landscape Desire to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Computer skills including PowerPoint, Word and Excel Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks to successful completion
  • Ability to work under tight timeframes and deliver a high-quality work product
  • Sensitivity in dealing with confidential information
  • Ability to make independent decisions

Education:Bachelor's Degree required 2-4 years working in licensing or sponsorship business

Salary Range:

  • $80,000 to $105,000
