Membership Program Lead, Next Gen

Position Summary:

The candidate's primary responsibilities are to help lead the strategic program design, build, and implementation of the NBA's new membership program designed to elevate member value and enhance overall awareness. Designed to encourage daily interaction, provide rewards and benefits, the program will be the connective tissue for all core elements of being a NBA fan (e.g., content, merchandise). The elaborate project will require the candidate to work dynamically within the organization to align efforts across Content, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Global Partnerships, Teams, Finance and Strategy, etc. A passion for putting the fan first is a must, and experience with loyalty programs is preferred.

 

Major Responsibility:

-Contribute to ideation, concepting, development and optimization of overall NBA membership program.

-Create and direct membership programs, initiatives, policies, activities, and content creation in service of overall membership goals and in collaboration with strategic & financial forecasting.

-Partner closely with broader Product and Content organizations to ensure a cohesive user experience. Translate the desired customer experience & program mechanics into business requirements and partner with product, marketing, and analytics teams to implement.

-Advocate for the premium user/customer experience across the NBA's functional areas while driving business goals.

-Conduct market and fan research.

-Contribute to ongoing execution and measurement of the program to ensure it is delivering strong financial results & contribute to core membership success tracking Leverage data and analytics to drive business insights across program innovation, user experience, campaigns and operational effectiveness.

-Oversee large, cross-functional teams bringing together multiple stakeholders to help drive decisions.

 

Required Skills/Knowledge:

-7-10 years of experience in the customer/loyalty marketing space; global experience a plus

-Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment

-Experience communicating (written and presentation) to senior level executives

-Strong attention to detail and ability to simultaneously manage multiple sub-projects

-Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative manner with tact and ability to creatively solve problems and manage multiple and changing priorities

-Executive presence and mindset, with the ability to roll up sleeves and get things done

 

Education: MBA / Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
