Position Summary

This person will be critical to the research, development, planning and executing of league media and sales opportunities for marketing partnerships across the NBA, as well as WNBA, G-League, NBA 2K League and USA Basketball. 


Major Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute multiplatform media plans for the league’s marketing partners inclusive of development of branded content and integrations across social media, digital and television for a variety of league marketing partners. Close collaboration required with:
    • NBA Social media content team
    • NBA Partners and/or their media agencies
    • AE’s across the NBA and NBA Digital Joint Venture
    • Other internal groups (i.e. Marketing, Player Marketing, etc.)
  • Contribute to the Media Partnerships group’s goal of finding innovative ways to integrate within new and emerging media platforms and partners
  • Monitor, track and contribute to ROI based media deliverables for partners, inclusive of e-mail marketing and social monetization and targeting
  • Be well-versed in the overall media business from the media, agencies, marketing, and fantasy + gaming headlines on regular basis



Required Skills/Knowledge

  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects; attention to detail
  • A strong marketing background with an eagerness to provide value to NBA Marketing Partners via media collaborations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact positively and work effectively with internal and external constituents
  • Ability to think creatively and come up with new ideas for partners
  • Excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)


Experience Needed

  • Work experience within either agency, brand, entertainment, or sports property


Preferred Experience

  • Media planning experience, with focus in the digital and social space
  • Passion and familiarity within media landscape, particularly across social platforms


Educational Background Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
