Group Summary:
Media Partnerships is responsible for the sales and execution of all league media assets on league channels and within overall league sponsorships.
Position Summary:
This role will support and manage strategy, development, ideation, pricing, planning, and execution of media sales and media innovation across the NBA, G League, and USAB media ecosystems.
Major Responsibilities:
- Manage team members responsible for media planning and execution across variety of Official Licensing, Gaming, and Marketing Partners at the league
- Work with league partners, providing white glove service to help them achieve their media goals across the NBA’s full suite of media opportunities, including being Media lead on several accounts
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key contacts at brands and agencies
- Develop expertise in evolving space of Fantasy & Gaming across the media landscape
- Managing the team leading Official Marketing Partner media planning/delivery and all media sales for select affiliate leagues
- Collaborate closely with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure partner needs are consistently met
- Creatively ideate to demonstrate expertise amongst media industry solutions and understanding of brand goals
- Proactively share partner wins and application of media trends across internal and external contacts
- Ability to train team members in core elements of Media Group responsibilities and day-to-day executions
Required Education/Professional Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, sports administration or related field
- 10-12 years of experience within media entertainment and sports sales media/sponsorship industry
- Expert knowledge of brand marketing & media tactics, terminology and metrics
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Strong Leadership and coaching skills
- Outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects; attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact positively and work effectively with internal and external constituents
- Ability to problem solve quickly, think creatively, and conceptualize ideas for partners
- Ability to build strong, lasting relationships with brand partners
- Excellent digital literacy (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Executive presence; strong project management, organizational and presentation skills
Salary Range: $160,000 - $190,000
