Affiliate League Coordinator, Media Partnerships

While Basketball Operations runs the league’s on-court activities, other departments manage relationships with television and digital media partners, develop marketing partnerships with some of the world’s most recognizable companies, oversee the licensing of NBA merchandise, and handle a wide range of responsibilities that drive the NBA’s success.

 

Position Summary:

This person will be critical to the research, development, planning and executing of league media and sales opportunities for marketing partnerships across NBA, WNBA, G-League, NBA 2K League and USA Basketball.

 

Major Responsibility:

  • Plan and execute multiplatform media plans for the league's marketing partners inclusive of development of branded content and integrations across television, digital and social media for a variety of NBA marketing partners and Licensees.
  • Close collaboration required with: NBA Social media content team NBA Partners and/or their agencies AEs across the NBA Digital Joint Venture
  • Contribute in media planning and oversight of Partner media across all the NBA's Affiliate Leagues, including but not limited to: G-League WNBA USA Basketball Jr NBA World Championships
  • Contribute to the Media Partnerships group's goal of finding innovative ways to integrate within new and emerging media platforms and partners
  • Support Media Partnerships' group with administrative needs

 

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Relevant media based work experiences across agencies, brands, or entertainment and sports properties
  • Demonstrated expertise within ever-evolving media platforms
  • A strong marketing background with an eagerness to provide value to NBA Marketing Partners via media collaborations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects; attention to detail
  • Ability to interact positively and work effectively with internal and external constituents
  • Excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

 

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing preferred or relevant experience
