Group Summary
International Strategy and Operations works to advance the NBA’s international growth strategy and oversee regional business operations. This group is responsible for driving revenue growth, new business opportunities, and operational excellence for the NBA’s international business, including global and local initiatives.
Essential Functions and Job Summary
This role is a hands-on operational lead supporting the team. The ideal candidate will lead and manage high-impact strategic initiatives from planning through execution, while also designing and implementing scalable operational processes. This role will provide oversight of both future-focused strategic investment plans as well as current operational plans that align to revenue and efficiency objectives. Create recommendations for long-term growth through rigorous analysis and strategic thinking to be presented to senior leaders to drive decision making. Develop written best practices, checklists and a project management outline for key pieces of the BAL season planning. This role requires cross-functional collaboration across all levels globally to ensure alignment of internal stakeholders and to move key strategic priorities from approval to implementation. Additionally, this role engages with many internal executives to develop presentations, financial models, business recommendations and detailed activation plans as needed by project.
Major Responsibilities
• Manage high-priority international projects, leading the coordination between multiple offices, executives, and groups, and providing necessary analytical support
• Provide analytical rigor on a wide range of business initiatives
• Support senior executives on key business initiatives that are outside the scope of their day-to-day operational oversight
• Lead new projects from ideation to execution to support substantial revenue generation
• Collaborate with diverse project teams and exhibit best practice project management skills
• Advance key international priorities through original thinking and problem solving
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to a broad range of senior internal and external constituents
• Interact with all levels, functions, and regions within the organization in a manner that enhances others' understanding of new strategic concepts and business venture opportunities pursued by company departments and international regions
• Assist in planning monthly international leadership calls and compiling weekly international updates for Mark Tatum
• Facilitate cross-functional and regional collaboration and perform research across diverse categories
Required Education/Professional Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4-6 years of experience
• Experience at the NBA is an asset

• Knowledge of Sports, Entertainment, Media and Technology industries preferred
• Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills
• Ability to spot issues and manage risk
Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000
