Group Summary
The HR Business Partner Team, within the People Team at the NBA, is responsible for providing direct HR support across all US business units to drive the attraction and retention of the talent needed to fulfill the organizations priorities and objectives. Services provided include consultation and support for business leaders to ensure that business needs are met through the coordination of HR services including Talent Acquisition, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Compensation, Talent Management, Employee Relations, HR Operations, TeamHR, Communications and employee engagement.
Position Summary
The HRBP Operations Analyst provides day-to-day operational and transactional support to the HR Business Partner team, who serve as consultants to management on human resource-related issues.
Major Responsibilities
• Create reports and identify insights to drive decision-making.
• Partner with aligned HRBPs to support HR processes (talent reviews, succession planning, year-end compensation planning) and creating materials.
• Collaborating with HR Generalists to facilitate the termination process.
• Be a subject matter expert on NBA's HR tools, processes and effectively partner with COE's (Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Benefits).
• Ensure all HR information is handled with a high degree of confidentiality and integrity.
• Process job changes in HR Systems (PeopleSoft).
• Responds to employee requests for information and troubleshoot issues.
• Organizational chart creation and editing.
• Policy and program tracking (sabbatical, timesheets, and attendance).
• Ensure legal compliance and integrity (e.g. supplemental staff)
• Prepare and organize material – PowerPoints, spreadsheets, emails - supporting all key HR processes (e.g. mid year talent review, population review, year end, etc)
• Act as liaison to our People Analytics function to help ensure integrity of data and facilitate understanding of information to the rest of the HRBP team
• Be proactive in service; be able to observe, anticipate and act upon the needs of HRBPs and business.
• Support ad-hoc projects.
Required Education/Professional Experience
• Undergraduate degree or relevant experience preferred
• 1-3 years of HR support and/or analyst experience
Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes
• Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Strong proficiency in PeopleSoft or other HRIS systems.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000
