Group Summary
HR Operations provides strategic operational and process improvement support to HR sub departments and workstreams. Teams within HR Operations manage end-to-end onboarding experience for US employee and player populations, provide administrative support to COEs, ensure compliance across HR Operations processes and manage HR records administration.  Within Process Optimization, the team identifies and executes on opportunities to streamline, eliminate redundancies and optimize processes via technology solutions. 

 

Position Summary
The HR Operations Analyst will support employee onboarding, including delivering an overall seamless and welcoming experience for US new hires and ensuring data integrity within our HR systems.  This individual will oversee the continuous process improvement and execution of the NBA's new hire onboarding experience and coordinate programming, events, and communications to help all new hires build the knowledge and relationships they need to perform in their role within their first 90-days of hire. The role serves as an operations administrator, supporting process improvement initiatives and providing operations support across our Centers of Expertise, including unemployment insurance administration.  

The work of this role is performed primarily in-person as it relates to engagement with internal and external stakeholders.  This role travels between 0-15% of the year, depending upon priorities.


Major Responsibilities
Rookie Experience Lead
•    Manage all aspects of the NBA's 90-day onboarding journey for new hires, including day 1 orientation. 
•    Partner with internal groups, including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, HR Operations, Benefits, and IT to ensure an integrated and seamless experience for new hires. 
•    Work across the Human Resources team to identify engaging experiences, exposure and learning opportunities/resources for New Hires during their first 90-days with the organization. 
•    Identify trends, insights and best practices to promote continuous process improvement in response to current and emerging issues.
•    Train a group of facilitators for new hire experiences and facilitate sessions as needed. 
•    Onboard US New Hires via the onboarding system. 
•    Initiate, review, escalate and adjudicate background checks and social media reviews. Collaborate with Employee Relations on escalations and, as applicable, rescind offers according to FCRA regulations.  
•    Review, audit and submit new hire paperwork for HR Records Center administration.
•    Identify process improvement opportunities and partner with managers to execute changes. 
•    Participate and provide subject matter expertise in various technology enhancement and process improvement projects.
•    Participate in ongoing process improvements to deliver a seamless process that is legally and organizationally compliant, welcoming to new hires and provides an efficient path to productivity.

 

Unemployment Insurance Administration
•    Receive and process non-contestable unemployment claims for former project and regular employees leveraging CaseBuilder (an online unemployment insurance tool)
•    Coordinate with Employee Relations regarding contestable claims.

 

Centers of Excellence Administration
•    Provide transactional and operations support to HR COEs including, but not limited to Global Mobility.
•    Provide Mobility and Relocation administration support including policy and user access maintenance, scheduling/running relocation reports, survey administration, reviewing monthly top off report for capital account, training HR stakeholders and fielding their general inquiries.


Required Education/Professional Experience
•    Bachelor’s Degree
•    Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Resources or related field 
•    Minimum 2 years’ experience performing data entry in PeopleSoft or SAP, or similar HCM is required
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
•    Experience designing and facilitating onboarding programs and experiences
•    Workday experience preferred

•    Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects with a strong sense of urgency and meet deadlines. 
•    Detail oriented and the ability to problem solve and work independently. 
•    Ability to align diverse stakeholder groups around a shared vision and monitor delivery against agreed upon standards and service level agreements.

 

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000
