Position Summary:
Key member of global business development team responsible for generating revenue through sales operations and support of integrated marketing & media platforms for the NBA, WNBA, G League, USA Basketball, NBA 2K League and Basketball Africa League on a global scale, in collaboration with NBA regional offices.
Major Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary resource to support regional offices’ global business development efforts to ensure the achievement of revenue targets.
- Create and maintain a centralized global sales folder that houses all related resources.
- Educate the regions on all sellable US and international assets/platforms including US media (e.g., virtual signage), third-party implications (e.g., broadcast partners, emerging media), regional-only assets, affiliate leagues, etc.
- Liaise with all internal international groups to commercialize new opportunities
- Educate and assist the regional sales teams on internal navigation and vetting processes that may be unique to US/Global dealmaking.
- Ensure regional sellers are utilizing consistent internal sales materials for outreach, proposals templates, case studies, and P&L’s.
- Train all sellers on internal platforms (e.g., CRM, DMS, NBA Reports, etc.)
- Provide guidance and resources to the Domestic Business Development team for international deals.
- Identify hurdles in global deal making and drive efficiencies.
- Support all phases of the partnership sales process including prospect identification and outreach strategy, development and delivery of sales presentations, negotiations, and contract execution
- Develop and write detailed, customized corporate presentations and partnerships proposals
Required Education/Professional Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of international sponsorships and/or business development experience
- Proven experience in sales operations, sales strategy, or related roles, with a strong understanding of global sales processes and systems.
- Bachelor's Degree (International Business Degree preferred)
Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes:
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously across global teams and regions.
- Proficiency in sales tools and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and advanced Excel or data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint/ Keynote, Excel, and Outlook required
- Multi-lingual/ Bi-lingual is a plus
Salary Range: $105,000 - 130,000
