Technical Product Analyst, Commerce Operations

Position Summary:

The NBA is seeking a strategic, analytical, and passionate Technical Product Analyst, Commerce Operations. Commerce Operations is pivotal to the dynamic development and launch of the NBA's Direct to Consumer (DTC) products. Major Responsibility:

  • Participate and represent occasionally during sprint planning, including the definition, prioritization and execution of commerce integration enhancements and operational improvements to optimize revenue and efficiency.
  • Represent the commerce team in the sprint planning for future enhancements and the expansion of commerce capabilities to other business departments in the company.
  • Work closely with digital stakeholders in managing launch and promotional cadence for Direct to Consumer business.
  • Understand and troubleshoot the integration between various microservices like content management system (CMS), Video Platform, TVE Provider and CRM.
  • Planning and troubleshooting of bulk creation of the In-App purchase across Apple, Google, Amazon and Roku store.
  • Plan and help manage key activities like Free-Trials, Price Drops, Intro Offers across Web, Apple, Google, Amazon and Roku platforms.
  • Enhance operational efficiency using automation and commerce vendor API capabilities with technical solutions.
  • Write technical user stories and convert user stories into deliverables.
  • Provide estimates to the required level of accuracy for stories and tasks.
  • Test deliverables against a user story's acceptance tests.
  • Create and maintain technical operations documentation.
  • Create the enhancement requests for the multilingual subscription content management system to meet both business team and development team requirements.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot any issues within the CMS and/or how content is displaying across all digital platforms.
  • Ensure partners meet SLAs and participate in the evaluation of the quality of partnerships and advise on changes needed.
  • Proactively track risks/issues with development, ensure business requirements are met and advocate for future enhancements.
  • Assess, analyze, consolidate, and communicate risk and status clearly and succinctly to management, raising key issues and presenting options for resolution to the cross-functional teams through the new product reviews.

 

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • 3-5 years of increasing responsibility in a technology, program, project management, business analysis or e-commerce role.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and general data transfer approaches and ability to troubleshoot integration level issues.
  • Ability to identify areas that can be streamlined or automated.
  • Strong proficiency in modern design patterns and development languages including JavaScript, Python, HTML5, CSS3.
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and execute tasks with accuracy in a high-pressure, fast-paced agile environment.
  • Has a deep understanding of the eCommerce industry including seasonality and trends.
  • Prior experience in program, product, project or delivery management in an Agile or Scrum environment preferred.
  • Capable of learning new technologies and platforms quickly and able to apply them to solve complex problems.
  • Prior experience of working with the collaboration platform for the API Development like Postman is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the iOS, macOS and App Store ecosystems and respective store APIs / SDKs is a plus.
  • Authentication and authorization technologies a plus: SAML, OAuth, OpenID is a plus.
  • Prior experience working on an Azure cloud services stack is a plus.
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional business partners, product, and engineering teams.
  • Excellent program management and communication skills.
  • Exceptional ability to build relationships; data-driven and willing to take action; enthusiastic and motivated; and detailed oriented while managing several work-streams.

 

Education:

Bachelor's Degree preferred or relevant equivalent experience
