Position Summary:

While Basketball Operations runs the league's on-court activities, other departments manage relationships with television and digital media partners, develop marketing partnerships with some of the world's most recognizable companies, oversee the licensing of NBA merchandise, and handle a wide range of responsibilities that drive the NBA's success.This position serves as an associate product manager, helping to support the WNBA Product Lead, as well as WNBA teams. This individual will be the primary point of contact between the League's teams in relation to their websites, mobile and connected apps. This position will conceive and gather requirements and manage ongoing product roadmaps. Additional responsibilities include presenting best practices and strategies, as well as serving as the liaison with multiple internal departments to gather insights and advance the roadmap.

 

Major Responsibility:

 

  • Partner with teams, assisting in digital development, technical support and product management, to maintain a high standard across their websites, mobile and connected apps
  • Create and manage all tickets related to league and team digital products in coordination with engineering and other product managers
  • Present to multiple stakeholders at teams and leagues Work with analytics teams to create and share data insights that are relevant to teams in the market Liaison with internal engineering resources and third-party vendors regarding digital development and troubleshooting
  • Communicate regular product updates to leagues and teams Defining operational checklist and lead overall quality of released products

 

Required Skills/Knowledge:

 

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of account management or consulting experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience related to digital product or project management
  • Must have experience managing multiple vendors or accounts
  • Must have basic experience using JIRA, Confluence, or other project management tools
  • Digital savvy with knowledge of industry trends
  • Experience with web/mobile technologies
  • Experience with web content/publishing
  • Good multi-tasking and project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with standard web-tracking tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation skills for multiple audiences

 

Education:

 

  • BA/BS or MA in Communications, Digital Marketing or other digitally relevant fields
