Position Summary:

The position of Senior Manager, Global Partnerships presents an exciting opportunity to take the lead role in generating new and managing existing NBA's licensing and marketing partnerships in India. While the NBA has already invested significant resources in India, we believe the potential is huge and so are our growth ambitions. We continue to focus our efforts on building the basketball ecosystem and growing the NBA brand and our fanbase in the country. For the NBA, licensing partnerships are key to extending the brand through a wide range of consumer touchpoints across various categories; while marketing partnerships are essential to activate the brand across a wider audience that delivers increased reach and increased engagement for the NBA brand. This role will take ownership of managing these relationships for the NBA and ensure that contractual obligations from the partners & the NBA are delivered effectively & on time.


Major Responsibility:

Build and cultivate relationships with key accounts and partners for the India business.

Seek out and deliver opportunities to grow business via upselling to existing partners, driving NBA consumer goods sales to exceed projected revenues, as well as pitching to and onboarding new partners.

Plan and execute NBA+Partners' cobranded campaigns across partner assets and NBA's own institutional assets.

Facilitate co-promotions between NBA partners.

Liaising with other verticals within the NBA to plan content integrations, event integrations, influencers integrations, PR, etc.

Media plans to be built for partners in conjunction with NBA India Marketing team and Global teams Operations - oversee creative approvals, timely data reporting by partners, timely payments of royalties or license fees.

Collaborate with key licensees to define highlight product launches & promotions on NBA platforms, including NBAStore.in, offline retail, etc.

Oversee execution of NBA marketing campaigns on partner platforms.

Day to day coordination with digital team to ensure delivery of contractual entitlements

Ownership of curating partner's marketing calendar in collaboration with NBA's marketing plans.

Assist with all business planning and strategy.


Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • 6-8 years in the Indian sports/media/retail industry, covering a mix of account management, client servicing, sponsorship/IP sales, marketing operations & product management.
  • Preferably minimum 4 years of exposure in digital marketing.

  • Brand activation and Marketing operations Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders - internally, externally with partners, and with the NBA International teams in HQ & other territories
  • Ability to work on a collaborative commercial team
  • Diligence, process driven, attention to detail Data analysis, Email & MS-Office proficiency
  • Sports fan preferred, Basketball fan ideal.



Graduate degree in marketing/product management/operations.

Post Graduate degree in business administration or sports management preferred.
