Ticketing and CRM Management - BAL

We are seeking an experienced Ticketing and CRM Manager to take lead responsibility for all ticketing for BAL games and events, whilst maximising the opportunities of a centralised ticketing and CRM system to understand, develop, grow and cater to BAL’s many audiences. This role will ensure that knowledge and expertise is imparted as widely as possible across the league, advocating the benefits of a shared CRM and ticketing system and delivering these benefits on a practical level. Reporting directly to the Events Lead, BAL, this critical position will work closely with all other departments, specifically Marketing, IT, Partnerships, League Operations and Finance.

 

Major Responsibilities

• Support the growth, innovation and advancements across our ticketing and credential programs for BAL games and ancillary events.

• Generate new opportunities to amplify team ticket sales efforts, working collaboratively with teams and other departments to unlock opportunities to fill BAL venues.

• Manage and delivery of the BAL ticketing programs and initiatives across all markets in the African continent.

• Provide data-driven business intelligence to all departments in the league, interpreting analytics and developing CRM strategies

• Planning and coordination with local vendor and agencies, localizing a ticketing strategy to each market needs and consumer behaviour.

• Manage and train temporary staff during the preparation and delivery of our major events.

• Identify opportunities for increased ticket revenue and implement dynamic pricing strategies where appropriate

• Understand and proactively support as needed all Ticketing & Game Experience initiatives involving analytics, data and research.

• Ensure successful financial reconciliation of all ticketing events by working closely with our finance department.

 

Required Skills/Knowledge

• Expert project management skills, adheres to strict deadlines and budgets

• Experience in large scale domestic and/or international events

• Knowledge of large-scale venue ticketing

• Established professional with an extensive network of industry professionals

• Excellent communication, social and analytical skills

• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability influence outcomes

• Self-motivated, dedicated and driven to achieve results

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects

• Strong English & French communication skills (verbal and written).

• Basketball knowledge and/or affinity, a plus Experience Needed

• A minimum of 6 years related ticket sales and sales leadership experience at a team, league, and/or related property or event

• Proven experience handling multiple projects and tasks, while displaying strong time management and organization skills

• Extensive experience of event management and ticketing campaigns in Africa. Additional roles considered favorably

• A practical understanding of GDPR and PCI regulations.

• Team player, self-motivated and goal oriented.

• Prior experience managing vendors/agencies and budgets required 

 

Educational background requiremed

• Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience preferred
